FLORE DRISSI
Creation process
“This silhouette was inspired by Jean-Louis Deniot’s interior design at the Nolinski, a perfect blend of Haussmann, Art Deco and Minimalist styles. This floor-length dress has a geometric elegance with its plunging neckline, pleated cinching and smocking at the bust and hips.
Starting at the hips, the draping falls to the floor, creating vertical lines with regular shadows, while grey pearls peep between each fold for a discreet finishing touch.
The white fabric will feature a very soft grey marbled pattern as a nod to the material that features heavily at the hotel.
Inspired by the Haute Couture dresses of Madame Grès or Alaïa and now revisited for the Nolinski, the overall look wouldn’t look out of place at the opera or theatre.”
