Details

“This creation explores tailoring by deconstructing the shirt and combining its elements with those of the suit to create a modern and refined aesthetic. This innovative approach draws inspiration from contemporary dance to create a silhouette combining modernity with historical references.

What makes this creation contemporary is the desire to reinvent the classics, giving a fresh look to the traditional elements of tailored clothing. The aim is to explore new stylistic expressions to create a look that’s fully in keeping with current trends.

In historical terms, this piece is a shirt-suit hybrid, the former dating from before 300 BC, and the latter gaining popularity in the 1970s thanks to the influence of fashion designer John Redfern. This fusion of iconic pieces from different eras creates a captivating dialogue between the past and present, adding conceptual depth to clothing design.
Inspired by contemporary dance, the silhouette has a particular dynamism and fluidity, adding another artistic dimension to the creation.”
