TENUE 6 - Nathan Garreau

“The vision for this project was to link Paris and Venice. Although both are great cities, they differ in terms of art and fashion.

In this case, I wanted to retain a more Parisian style while adding some Venetian elements. The top is open at the sides, giving the outfit a more summery feel, and is fastened with metal buckles. This features inlays representing the fabulous bridges of Venice, revealing the body through the arches.

For the trousers, a low cut waistband with a flat pleat on each side for extra volume. A slight balloon cut to add movement to the trousers and, for the detail, a cyanotype of the equestrian statue of Bartolomeo Colleoni, the Captain General during the war against the Milanese. Finally, the name of the city embroidered on the knee, to represent the arrival of the Nolinski hotels in Venice. The idea of kneeling on the ground, as if you’ve just arrived in Venice after a long journey, to relax and take it all in.”
