“My entry for this competition reflects the hotel’s strong eclectic signature style. Skilfully intertwined patterns and geometric shapes create a unique visual atmosphere, where variety and diversity are central to the aesthetic.

When creating my pieces, I explored combining two different techniques for a unique result. The vibrant shades were achieved using two types of shibori, each bringing its own texture and depth to the fabric. I also incorporated several types of pleating, playing with the garment’s structure to create dynamic, expressive silhouettes.
I took a practical approach to making this garment, starting with a base skirt and adding pleats to create volume. For the top, I pleated the front and sewed it to the skirt. I also incorporated an elegant cape with subtle pleated sleeves to add a distinctive touch to the upper back.”
