Venice Carnival

For ten days, Venice is transformed into a vast theatre of celebration and extravagance. There’s a different event for every day. The Feast of the Marys parade marks the start of Carnival, and the Doge’s Ball in the Palazzo Pisani-Moretta is the highlight. Most of the festivities take place in St Mark’s Square or the surrounding area.
