Romain Brau

A model, singer and actor, Romain Brau is above all an artist, defending the causes of freedom, gender freedom and self-assertion. September 29th, 2023 marks the release of his first single “SUZANNE” – Every Friday at 10pm and Saturday at 7pm at the Petit Palais des Glaces.

What’s your strongest emotion?
I always get stage fright before I go on stage, but it’s multiplied by 10000000 when I know that family members, close friends or my partner are in the audience.

What’s your epicurean pleasure?
There’s no substitute for cooking. I was brought up in a family where high-quality food was the most important thing. I’d do anything for a wonderful dinner in good company.

What does elegance mean to you?
Elegance is a smile. A generosity of joy that we all carry deep inside us. Smiling at someone can sometimes change their day. It’s about consideration, sharing and true beauty. I get that from my grandfather and my mother.

What’s your favourite travel experience?
I have so many memories in mind. A poppy seller on the road in the Moroccan desert, surfing in Bali at dusk surrounded by fireflies, being a taxi driver in the jungle in the Ivory Coast because I’d run out of petrol money, seeing loving couples meet each other with their arms full of roses in Odessa…

What is your source of emulation?
I remained quiet and lacklustre for too long during my childhood, but the day I broke through and felt happiness in my own skin, I swore to myself that this was just the beginning and that I would always do everything for myself, without comparing myself or trying to do better than others. I’m glad you asked me that question because it’s important for me to remember that feeling.
