“Iconic Traveler
Mapping Silence
This project explores the garment as a territory.
The coat becomes a textile map where three cultural geographies meet: the structure and urban power of the United States, the silent discipline of Japan, and the fluid spirituality of India.
Each panel of the coat represents a space, each seam a border, each transition a passage. The central knot embodies the convergence point of these territories, where travel becomes an inner journey.
Far from any decorative display, the piece expresses itself through restraint, material, and volume. Its majesty is silent, its narrative contained.
This traveler does not accumulate places: she embodies them.”
